Yasmin Beauty Salon Unisex ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at yasminbeauty.salon (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you book an appointment, browse our Site, or communicate with us — and how we use, store, and protect that information.
By using our Site or submitting a booking, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
02 Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Full name
- Phone number (for appointment confirmations and SMS reminders)
- Preferred service, date, and time
- Any notes or special requests included with your booking
- Feedback or review content submitted through the Site

- To confirm, manage, and remind you of your appointment

04 SMS Consent & TCPA Compliance
Important — Please Read
By checking the SMS consent box on our booking form, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Yasmin Beauty Salon Unisex at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Our SMS messages are strictly limited to:
- Appointment booking confirmations
- Appointment reminders (sent up to 24 hours before your scheduled visit)
- Cancellation or rescheduling notifications
We will never send promotional marketing texts without a separate, explicit opt-in.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any text we send. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages. You may also contact us directly (see Section 12).
To get help: Reply HELP to any of our texts, or email us at the address in Section 12.
SMS consent is never required to book an appointment. Unchecking the SMS box has no effect on your ability to schedule services.
We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages. Twilio acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement and is prohibited from using your phone number for any other purpose. Your number is never sold or shared for marketing.
05 Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Twilio (SMS), and Neon (database hosting) process data on our behalf under written agreements restricting their use of your information.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients or others.
- Business transfer: If the salon is sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. You will be notified before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
06 Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site. This data is aggregated and anonymized — we cannot use it to identify you personally.
Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored in your browser). You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting technology. The only cookies on this Site are those set by Google Analytics for session and behavior tracking.
07 Your Rights Under California Law (CCPA)
As a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you the following rights:
- Right to know: Request a list of personal information we have collected, its sources, our business purpose, and any third parties it was shared with.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.

How to Submit a CCPA Request
Email yasminbeautysalon2024@gmail.com with the subject line "CCPA Privacy Request." Include your full name and the phone number or email used when booking. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 calendar days.
08 Data Retention
We retain your booking information for up to 2 years from the date of your last appointment, unless you request earlier deletion or a longer period is required by law. Anonymized analytics data has no fixed retention limit.
Upon expiration or a valid deletion request, we permanently delete or de-identify your information from active systems. Database backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
09 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
- Encrypted database connections (TLS) to our hosted PostgreSQL instance
- JWT-based authentication for all admin access
- Access controls limiting which personnel can view personal data
No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data using industry-standard practices.
10 Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11 Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
